Wrist Notes Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 22, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Wrist Notes (org.execbit.rpker) handles information.

Summary

Wrist Notes does not collect or transmit personal data to the developer. The app has no Internet permission, uses no developer-operated servers, and contains no advertising, analytics, tracking, or crash-reporting services.

Wrist Notes processes your notes locally on your Android device. When you choose Send to watch, the app places all saved notes inside a watch application and shares the resulting file with Gadgetbridge so that Gadgetbridge can install it on your connected wearable.

Information handled by the app

Wrist Notes handles the following information only on your devices:

Wrist Notes does not request or access your identity, email address, phone number, contacts, location, health information, photos, media, microphone, camera, advertising ID, or financial information.

You are not required to enter personal information into a note. If you choose to include personal or sensitive information, it is handled locally and transferred only as described below.

Transfer to Gadgetbridge and your wearable

Wrist Notes transfers information only when you tap Send to watch and confirm the installation in Gadgetbridge.

The generated watch application contains the full text of every saved note. Wrist Notes grants the separately installed Gadgetbridge app temporary read access to that file. Gadgetbridge may then transfer it to the wearable selected in Gadgetbridge. Wrist Notes does not communicate with the wearable directly and does not receive data from it.

Gadgetbridge and the wearable are separate products outside Wrist Notes's control. Their handling of the transferred file and any other information is governed by their own software, settings, and policies.

Data collection, sharing, and sale

The developer does not receive, collect, store, sell, or use your notes or any other personal data.

Wrist Notes does not share information with advertisers, analytics providers, data brokers, or other online services. The user-initiated transfer of the generated watch application to Gadgetbridge is performed solely to provide the app's main feature.

Permissions and security

Wrist Notes does not request Internet, Bluetooth, location, storage, contacts, camera, or microphone permissions.

Saved notes and generated files are kept in Android private app storage. Android backup is disabled for Wrist Notes. Its file provider is not publicly accessible and grants read access only to the generated watch application when you initiate installation through Gadgetbridge.

No method of local storage or transfer can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Keep your Android device, Gadgetbridge, and wearable protected and up to date, particularly if your notes contain sensitive information.

Retention and deletion

Because the developer never receives this information, the developer cannot view, recover, or delete it remotely. Wrist Notes does not provide accounts, so there is no account data to delete.

Children's privacy

Wrist Notes does not knowingly collect personal data from children or anyone else. All information handling is local and initiated by the user as described in this policy.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated if Wrist Notes's features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when a new version is published.
